Daria Kasatkina won the final of the Kremlin Cup to claim her first WTA trophy on home soil.
The Russian sixth seed held off the challenge of Tunisian Ons Jabeur, ranked 101 in the world, in three sets.
Kasatkina had to battle back from a set and a break down in the second to triumph 2-6 7-6 (7/3) 6-4 in just over two hours.
The victory also puts the 24-year-old in the WTA’s top 10 for the first time in her career.
Jabeur had already made history as the first Tunisian to reach a final, but she was unable to land her maiden title.
Top seed Julia Goerges got the better of Swiss qualifier Belinda Bencic to win the Luxembourg Open.
The German, ranked nine in the world, edged a close final 6-4 7-5 to claim her second trophy this season.
