Andy Murray eases past Milos Raonic to reach semi-finals of Monte Carlo Masters

Andy Murray breezes into the semi-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters with a 6-2 6-0 victory over Milos Raonic.

Andy Murray managed to brush aside Milos Raonic in just over an hour to grab a place in the semi-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters.

The Scotsman had battling rounds against Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Benoit Paire, but he was much more comfortable against Raonic as he earned a 6-2 6-0 triumph on the clay court.

Murray was pushed by the Canadian in the opening game, but after holding serve, the two-time Grand Slam champion found his stride and earned a double break to take a one-set lead.

Raonic struggled to launch a comeback as he was broken instantly in the second set and he failed to create a single break point as Murray went into cruise control.

The world number two broke serve a further two times to wrap up the contest and book himself a spot in the final four.
