Former world number one Novak Djokovic has surged through to the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters with victory over Dusan Lajovic.
Djokovic went into the contest having lost three matches in a row but the Serbian showed glimpses of his best form in thrashing Lajovic 6-0 6-1.
The 30-year-old dropped just eight points during the first set as he dominated against his compatriot, and it was a similar story in the second.
Lajovic got a game on the board and created four break-point opportunities, but Djokovic was still able to seal victory in just 56 minutes.
Djokovic will now meet Borna Coric in the last 32 on Wednesday.
