Sara Errani sees off Petra Cetkovska

Sara Errani has made it through to the quarter-finals of the Italian Open by beating Petra Cetkovska 6-4 7-6(3) this afternoon.

World number 11 and former French Open finalist Errani started strongly and won the first set 6-4 against her Czech opponent.

Cetkovska managed to take the second set to a tie-break, but Errani held on to claim a 7-3 victory on her way to a straight-sets win.

Errani will now face Li Na, who won her third-round match against Samantha Stosur earlier today.
