Tomic pulls out of Italian Open

Bernard Tomic has pulled out of next week's Italian Open due to personal reasons.

The Australian's father is due to stand trial Madrid in the coming days following allegations that he attacked his son's training partner. He denies the charges.

Tomic, ranked 53rd in the world, has now announced that he will not be taking part in the tournament in Rome.

Belgian world number 56 Xavier Malisse will replace him in the draw.
