Germany's Sabine Lisikci, Christopher Kas through to Olympic mixed doubles semi-final

Lisikci, Kas through to Olympic semis

The German pair of Sabine Lisicki and Christopher Kas have advanced to the last four of the Olympic mixed doubles after edging Roberta Vinci and Daniele Bracciali of Italy in a super tie-break.

It was the Italian pair who took the opening set 6-4 after both pairs lost their serve early on at Wimbledon's No. 2 Court.

There were no breaks of serve in the second set and the Germans stayed in the match by taking the tie-break 7-2 to send the game into a deciding 'super' tie-break, where the first to 10 points wins the match.

Neither duo produced a strong service performance in the breaker but it was the Germans who won through 10-7 to seal their place in the last four.

They will face either Laura Robson and Andy Murray of Great Britain or Australia's Sam Stosur and Lleyton Hewitt.
