Jelena Jankovic beats Samantha Stosur in three sets

Jelena Jankovic has battled back from a set down to defeat Samantha Stosur 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the third round of the French Open.

The Serbian 18th seed will take on Jamie Hampton, who shocked Petra Kvitova earlier today, in the fourth round.

It took Stosur just over half an hour to win the first set, but Jankovic managed to even things up in the second to take it to a decider.

There had only been four breaks of serve in the match up until the final set, which was the most profitable in terms of returning.

Five breaks of serve between the two players ended with Jankovic getting her nose in front for a place in the next round.
