Nick Kyrgios disappointed with "heartbreaking" defeat

Nick Kyrgios: 'Defeat was heartbreaking'

Nick Kyrgios has admitted that his loss to Andy Murray was "heartbreaking" after he crashed out of the French Open in the third round.

Murray continued his Roland Garros campaign by securing a straight-sets win to set up a fourth-round clash against Jeremy Chardy, and Kyrgios was unable to hide his disappointment as he paid tribute to the third seed.

"It's heartbreaking," the Australian, who struggled with an elbow problem, revealed after the match. "Today I wasn't near 100%.

"Not to take anything from Andy, he played unbelievable. I don't think he served well, but he made a lot of returns and he just does what he does best - that's make a lot of balls and mix up the game. He was too good.

"He's a freak athlete. He's strong. I think that's how he has his advantage when he plays."

Kyrgios has lost his last three meetings with Murray.
