New-look Spanish team named for Davis Cup

Spain will begin their defence of the Davis Cup against Kazakhstan next month with a new-look squad.

Captain Alex Corretja has been unable to select world number two Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer, both of whom ruled themselves out of contention last year.

As a result, Corretja has picked world number 11 Nicolas Almagro and Marcel Granollers.

Also in the squad are former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero and Marc Lopez.
