Liam Broady is confirmed as the fifth and final member of Great Britain's team for this year's Davis Cup Finals.

Liam Broady has been named as the fifth and final member of the Great Britain team for this year's Davis Cup Finals.

The 27-year-old - who is the current British number four - joins Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans, Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski in the five-man GB squad.

Andy Murray had refused to rule out representing GB after not being named in the initial four-man squad, but the three-time Grand Slam will not be taking part as Broady hails the "honour" of being selected.

Speaking to the LTA website, Broady said: "It's been an incredible journey when I reflect on the last three years from my first Davis Cup selection at the start of 2018. So much has happened having to rebuild my ranking from about 350 in the world.

"I'm really proud of the year I've had, propelling myself back into this position and having one of the best years of my career. It's always been an privilege and honour to represent my country again, whether that's Davis Cup or the Olympics.

"I really couldn't ask for anything more and couldn't think at the start of this year that I would have had these amazing opportunities!"

Broady claimed his first ATP Challenger title in the Biel/Bienne in Switzerland two months ago, and GB begin their Davis Cup campaign against France in Group C on November 27.
