Venus Williams blasts past Sara Errani in Cincinnati

It took Venus Williams a little over an hour to defeat seventh seed Sara Errani and make it through to the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Open.

The American broke her Italian opponent once to claim the opening set 6-3.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion then crushed Errani 6-0 in the second to close out the match in devastating style.

Next up for Williams is a quarter-final clash with third seed Samantha Stosur.
