Novak Djokovic too good for Juan Monaco

Novak Djokovic defeats Juan Monaco in straight sets to reach the third round of the Cincinnati Open.

Novak Djokovic has overcome Juan Monaco 7-5 6-2 to set up a third-round match with David Goffin at the Cincinnati Open.

The world number one took 77 minutes to seal his progress, although the Serb was made to work for it in the first set.

Monaco managed to twice break serve but was unable to hold his own and it was Djokovic who held his nerve at the crucial moments to edge ahead.

The second set was far more routine as he broke twice and did not have to face a single break point.
