Johanna Konta booked her place in the third round of the Australian Open this morning thanks to a 6-2 6-3 victory over Zheng Saisai.
Fresh from defeating seven-time singles Grand Slam champion Venus Williams in round one, Great Britain's Konta took just one hour and 24 minutes to overcome her Chinese opponent on court number eight in Melbourne.

Konta opened up a 3-1 lead in the opening set and despite giving up a number of break points, Zheng was unable to convert any of them as the Brit took command of proceedings.
Serving for the match in the second set at 5-1 up, Sydney-born Konta was broken for the first time in the match, but that did not stop her from eventually going on to seal the win.
Next up for Konta is an encounter against world number 63 Denisa Allertova.
