Lloyd: 'Murray in best condition pre-Wimbledon'

Former British number one John Lloyd believes that Andy Murray could not have prepared better ahead of Wimbledon next week.

The Scot, who was forced to miss the French Open earlier this month through injury, returned to beat Marin Cilic and win the AEGON Classic at the Queen's Club with a 5-7 7-5 6-3 triumph in the final.

Following the victory, Lloyd feels that Murray can go into his home Grand Slam at SW19 full of confidence.

"It was a fabulous performance from Murray," Lloyd told BBC Sport.

"A couple of little wobbles, getting a little irritated, but once he got his mind back on the game, his service games were immaculate. He did not let Cilic breathe, applying the pressure and it told.

"He could not have asked for a better week's preparation ahead of Wimbledon."

Wimbledon gets underway next Monday.
