Yannick Agnel wins 200m freestyle final

Yannick Agnel came out on top during the men's 200m freestyle final at the Aquatics Centre this evening.

The Frenchman took the lead just after the midway point and rarely looked troubled as he headed for home.

He eventually clocked a time of 1.43.14, while South Korea's Taehwan Park and China's Yang Sun shared second spot, having both recorded a time of 1.44.93.

American Ryan Lochte ended the race in fourth spot, while Britain's Robbie Renwick finished sixth from a field of eight competitors.
