Wales 27-13 Scotland

Leigh Halfpenny showed good form with the boot and his hands as Wales recorded a 27-13 victory over Scotland in the Six Nations this afternoon.

Halfpenny traded penalties with Greig Laidlaw in a low scoring first-half as the sides headed into the break level at 3-3.

However, two minutes after the restart Alex Cuthbert went over for the game's first try from out wide. Halfpenny added two further points from the resultant conversion.

Laidlaw reduced the arrears momentarily in the 48th minute when he kicked another penalty.

Halfpenny responded by running in two tries in the 51st and 56th minutes, both of which he converted to put the home side in control.

Laidlaw once again got on the scoresheet for the Scots in the 64th minute when he scored a try. The 26-year-old dusted himself down to score the conversion to take his side 14 points behind.

Scotland's cause was not helped in the second half by yellow cards handed to Nick De Luca and Rory Lamont.
