Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw has said that he and his team are motivated by last year's Six Nations crushing by Wales, ahead of the two nations meeting this weekend.
Laidlaw's team were humiliated 51-3 at the Millennium Stadium on the final day of the 2014 tournament, after Scotland played most of the game with 14 men thanks to Stuart Hogg's early red card.
"The last time we played Wales we were on the wrong end of a thumping - we need to turn that around," scrum-half Laidlaw told BBC Sport.
"It was a bad day for the team, a bad day for the Scottish jersey, and we will be using some of that emotion."
He also described the opening-weekend 15-8 loss to France as "probably a chance missed".
He said: "We need to learn from some of the mistakes we made against France and turn in a winning performance but it will be tough against a good Welsh side."
The 29-year-old Gloucester player will win his 35th cap at Murrayfield on Sunday.
