Rob Howley: 'Wales to remain unchanged'

Wales interim coach Rob Howley reveals that he will name an unchanged side for next weekend's Six Nations encounter with Italy in Rome.

Wales interim coach Rob Howley has revealed that he will name an unchanged side for their trip to Italy in the Six Nations on February 23.

Ryan Jones will captain the team again after he took over from the injured Sam Warburton for last weekend's 16-6 win against France in Paris.

"I have told the players the same XV will start in Italy," Howley told reporters. "I think it is pretty important from a coach's perspective that we reward the players who have gone out on the field.

"I thought Ryan Jones was outstanding in terms of his leadership and it is a just reward that he captains the side against Italy."

Defending champions Wales are currently in third place in the table following one defeat and one win from their opening two matches.
