Leigh Halfpenny says that kicking a winning goal against France would be the pinnacle of his career.

Leigh Halfpenny has said that kicking a winning goal against France would be the pinnacle of his career.

Wales will be chasing the Grand Slam when they entertain Les Bleus at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

Halfpenny infamously missed a last-ditch penalty kick against France in last year's Rugby World Cup semi-final, which Wales went on to lose 9-8.

"Doing that against France on Saturday in such a huge match would top the lot," the full-back said.

"I've probably learned a lot from what happened in the World Cup game. I said after that if I get another chance to nail an opportunity like that, I'm going to take it.

"It was because of that it was such a good buzz when I was successful with my kick against Ireland."

If Wales beat France on Saturday they will clinch their third Grand Slam in seven years.
