Foot injury rules Liam Williams out of Rugby World Cup

The Welsh Rugby Union confirm that full-back Liam Williams will play no further part at the Rugby World Cup due to a foot injury.

Wales have announced this morning that Liam Williams will miss the rest of the Rugby World Cup with a foot injury.

The 24-year-old limped off during the second half of yesterday's 15-6 defeat to Australia at Twickenham.

The severity of the complaint has not been revealed, but the Welsh Rugby Union have confirmed that the damage sustained has sidelined the Scarlets full-back for the remainder of the tournament.

Williams has become the latest in a growing list of Wales players that have been ruled out through injury, with head coach Warren Gatland having lost the services of Jonathan Davies, Scott Williams, Cory Allen, Hallam Amos and Eli Walker in recent weeks.ID:251908: cacheID:251908:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:2316:
