Warren Gatland is pleased with Wales's performance against despite defeat.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has said that he was pleased with his side's performance against England yesterday, despite losing the match 23-19.

Visiting Wales scored three tries at Twickenham in their first World Cup warm-up fixture.

"We're pretty happy with that. We've scored three tries to their two," said the 47-year-old coach.

"We've put in a strong second-half performance and we can build on it.

"We can improve on our accuracy but our first-up tackling was pretty good and it's a good start for us overall."

The two sides meet again on Saturday, August 13 at the Millennium Stadium.
