Gatland offered Lions job

Wales coach Warren Gatland is reportedly close to being named as the next British & Irish Lions coach.

The 48-year-old has been offered the job following an interview in London on Wednesday.

His representatives are now in negotiations with the Lions board while Gatland is on holiday in his native New Zealand, according to The Telegraph.

However, Gatland is reportedly keen on being in charge of Wales for the autumn internationals and possibly next year's Six Nations.

It is thought that he will be appointed on a 12-month rolling contract.
