Finn Russell ready for 'challenging' George Ford tussle at Twickenham

Scotland star Finn Russell has admitted that he faces a tough task when he reignites his personal battle with England's George Ford in the Six Nations this weekend

The two number 10s will come up against each other in what should be an intriguing battle at Twickenham, just two months on from their last coming-together.

On that occasion it was Ford who emerged victorious as club side Bath prevailed 20-15 against Glasgow Warriors in the European Rugby Champions Cup pool stage.

"It was a disappointing result against Bath," the Daily Mail quotes Russell as saying. "I was pretty happy with my performance, though, and I thought I played well.

"I had a quick chat with George after the game. I don't really know him but I respect his talent. Taking on George and England at Twickenham is a different challenge again and I have to treat it as any other game - but I feel I can do well down there against him.

"Obviously, I've seen him play a bit and he's another young number 10 who is making his mark and establishing himself in the England team. He'll be an important player for them at Twickenham."

Wooden spoon favourites Scotland are seeking their first victory in this year's championship, while England need a win to keep alive their hopes of claiming the crown.
