Greig Laidlaw "desperate" to beat Ireland in Six Nations closing match

Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw says that the team are "desperate to win" in the final Six Nations match against Ireland on Saturday.

Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw has said that his side are "desperate to win" their final Six Nations match against Ireland on Saturday.

Laidlaw's team have lost every match in the Six Nations so far and were defeated 25-13 by England last Saturday.

"It's simple. We have one massive challenge at home and we are desperate to win the game," Laidlaw said.

"We will be chucking everything at that game. We will stick together this week, look at the videos, do our recovery together and stay together as coaches and players.

"We will put together a plan and then go and execute it. We will be absolutely desperate come Saturday to win the game."

Ireland can still win the tournament, and are level on points with England and Wales.
