Scott out of Autumn Tests

Edinburgh centre Matt Scott has been ruled out of Scotland's remaining Autumn Tests because of a fractured hand suffered in Saturday's win over Japan.

Scotland team doctor James Robson said that the 23-year-old would not require surgery but would still be out of action for six weeks.

Scotland head coach Scott Johnson has called up seven new players for Sunday's clash against South Africa at Murrayfield because of other injury worries.

Edinburgh quartet Jack Cuthbert, Tom Brown, Lee Jones and Ross Rennie come in, along with Glasgow pair Jon Welsh and Byron McGuigan and uncapped Leeds back Stevie McColl.
