Parks retires from internationals

Scotland stand-off Dan Parks has announced his retirement from international rugby with immediate effect.

The 33-year-old's place in the starting lineup has come under increasing pressure from Greg Laidlaw in recent weeks.

He has quit the international scene having made 67 appearances for Scotland, scoring 266 points in the process.

Parks, who will continue to play for Glasgow Warriors, also holds the Scottish record of scoring 17 drop-goals.
