Gray a doubt for New Zealand Test

Richie Gray has picked up an ankle injury which could keep him out of Scotland's opening autumn Test against New Zealand.

The Sale lock is expected to be out for several weeks after sustaining ankle ligament damage.

The 23-year-old joins a long list of Scotland players that will miss the match with the All Blacks, including Alasdair Dickinson, Moray Low and Joe Ansbro.

Rory Lamont is also a doubt for the game, having not played since breaking his leg in the Six Nations in February.

Scotland play New Zealand on November 11, and also have Tests against South Africa and Tonga next month.
