Charlie Faumuina comeback delayed due to concussion

New Zealand prop Charlie Faumuina's comeback is pushed back after he suffers concussion in training.

New Zealand prop Charlie Faumuina's comeback has been delayed after suffering concussion in training.

The 28-year-old, who underwent neck surgery two months ago, was expected to return to action for Auckland against Taranaki on Sunday.

However, he is now likely to be back on the pitch on August 29 - one day before the All Blacks' squad for the Rugby World Cup is announced.

"[Faumuina and teammate Taleni Seu] were going for the same ball and they both got concussed. It was just a freak accident five minutes from the end of the session," Auckland coach Paul Feeney told the New Zealand Herald.

Faumuina has won 27 caps for New Zealand since 2012.
