New Zealand fly-half Dan Carter is 'hopeful' of facing England on Saturday.

New Zealand fly-half Dan Carter has handed the All Blacks a fitness boost ahead of the autumn Test match against England on Saturday.

The 30-year-old missed the weekend's victory over Wales with an Achilles problem, but he has revealed that he is 'hopeful' of taking part in their final match of the year.

"Hopefully I'll be ready, nothing's changed over the last couple of days. The plan was to get through training and it was pretty light today," he told reporters.

Carter has made 93 appearances for his country since 2003.
