Tommy O'Donnell: 'Don't underestimate Wales'

Tommy O'Donnell cautions Ireland against taking a Six Nations victory over Wales for granted.

Tommy O'Donnell has warned his Ireland teammates not to take Wales for granted when the Six Nations favourites travel to Cardiff next weekend.

The Munster flanker came off the bench as Joe Schmidt's men beat England 19-9 last Sunday to keep their Grand Slam hopes alive.

However, O'Donnell is expecting a tough challenge from Warren Gatland's side.

He told PA: "Wales are a good attacking side: they went to France and beat France. That's a fair achievement, so they've got very big ball carriers, incredibly physical players and they're quite mobile and agile.

"They don't take any prisoners in their pack; they're great defenders and good at the breakdown. To go over there to Cardiff will make it a small bit tougher."

Ireland won their last Grand Slam in Cardiff, thanks to a late Ronan O'Gara drop goal in 2009.
