Rhys Priestland: 'France game is going to be tough'

Priestland: 'France game will be tough'

Fly-half Rhys Priestland has acknowledged the strength of France, saying that Wales will have to be at their best to get a result.

France beat Italy 30-10 last time out in the Six Nations, while Wales lost heavily to Ireland.

The two sides will clash at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff next Friday.

"We have to front up because they won their first two games," Priestland is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "They have looked good, so we know it is going to be tough and they have some fantastic players.

"When they click, they can tear teams apart. We will have to be at our best and it is going to be a challenge, especially after the disappointment of last Saturday. It will be interesting to see how we bounce back."

Ireland lead the Six Nations table after two games.
