France vs. Ireland not this weekend

France's Six Nations encounter with Ireland will not be played this weekend.

The two nations had been due to play on Saturday evening. However, a frozen pitch in Paris saw the referee call the fixture off following concerns over the players' safety.

Initial reports had suggested that the teams will try again this weekend, but the Six Nations Council have confirmed that that is not the case.

The match is now expected to be played in early March.
