England coach Eddie Jones to consider Danny Cipriani recall

New England coach Eddie Jones reveals that he will consider Danny Cipriani for selection for the Six Nations should his displays warrant a recall.

New England coach Eddie Jones has suggested that he could hand a recall to Danny Cipriani in his squad for the Six Nations.

Jones was appointed as Stuart Lancaster's successor following the 46-year-old's resignation in the aftermath of the Red Rose's dismal World Cup campaign, where they became the first host nation in the history of the competition to fail to reach the knockout stage.

Cipriani was left out of Lancaster's squad for the tournament, but Jones has revealed that the Sale fly-half will be considered should his performances warrant selection, despite his upcoming court case for a drink-driving charge.

"If Cipriani's good enough to be in the 30, he'll be in the 30," Jones told reporters. "If he's not good enough, he won't be in the 30, it'll have nothing to do with what he's done in the past. All I'm worried about is what's going to happen in the future."

Jones then added: "But he might have to get a taxi to training."

The 28-year-old has made 14 appearances for England since making his debut in 2008.
