Mike Catt impressed by "lethal" Jonathan Joseph

Mike Catt claims that England centre Jonathan Joseph has the X-factor required to lead his side to success following another impressive Six Nations performance.

Mike Catt has claimed that England centre Jonathan Joseph will be a threat for anyone in international rugby after helping his side to another Six Nations victory.

Joseph scored two tries in the 47-17 win over Italy at Twickenham on Saturday, and Catt believes that the 23-year-old can continue to enjoy success on the biggest stage.

"JJ's footwork and his ability to slip out of tackles is phenomenal," the World Cup winner is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "That's the X-factor you need to break defences down and to win games.

"Everybody thinks international rugby is all about size, but players who play against Jonathan Joseph don't want to defend him because he's lethal.

"He's a hard man to stop, he has incredible feet and that helps him defensively too. He never misses tackles because he's able to put himself in good positions."

Joseph has played just eight times for England since his debut in 2012.
