Rowntree: 'England capable of RWC glory'

England forwards coach Graham Rowntree has insisted that the team is capable of winning the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Rugby Football Union professional rugby director Rob Andrew recently suggested that the host nation's current crop of players would not peak until around 2018.

However, Rowntree is confident that England can lift the Webb Ellis Trophy this year.

"We know that we can win a World Cup with this group of players, and that excites me," the former forward told Sky Sports News.

"This team will only get better and better with experience, let's all agree that. I can see that from working with the guys day in, day out. We will absolutely get better with experience and we will be become more experienced in three years' time."

England play their final warm-up match on Saturday when they welcome Ireland to Twickenham Stadium.
