Henry Slade happy after making England debut against France

England centre Henry Slade describes his international debut as an "awesome experience".

England centre Henry Slade has admitted that his international debut was an "awesome experience".

Stuart Lancaster's side beat France 19-14 at Twickenham, and Slade played his part as he set up Jonny May for England's third try of the night.

He told Sky Sports News: "It was everything I imagined. It was an awesome experience. All sorts of emotions went through my head in the first five minutes. Once I settled down, I really enjoyed it."

Slade is one of six centres trying to make Lancaster's World Cup squad.
