Martin Johnson is likely to keep the England job if he changes up his backroom team, according to reports.

Martin Johnson is expected to remain as England manager as long as he overhauls his backroom team, according to the Daily Mail.

The 41-year-old's position with the national side has been called into question after England's disappointing exit from the World Cup in New Zealand.

While the England rugby chiefs are believed to be keen on keeping the former Leicester lock, a ring of changes will need to be made with regards to the coaching staff.

Reports have claimed that talks are ongoing with Johnson regarding this request, which could result in the departures of John Wells, Graham Rowntree, Brian Smith, Mike Ford and Dave Alred.

Final decisions regarding the coaching roles are likely to be made on November 17.
