Brumbies chief executive Andrew Fagan thinks that England's reported interest in Jake White is a testament to the 48-year-old's coaching ability.

Brumbies chief executive Andrew Fagan has claimed that the RFU's reported decision to approach Jake White over the England vacancy "speaks volumes" of his coaching talent.

Reports emerged claiming that the 48-year-old is a contender for the full-time position, which is due to be decided towards the end of the Six Nations.

"Obviously this is a terrific opportunity for Jake White, and one which reflects his status as one of the world's leading coaches," BBC Sport quotes Fagan as saying.

"It also speaks volumes about the quality of the rugby program that Jake is putting in place here at the Brumbies that he should be sounded out for this role.

"That said, Jake is in the first of a four-year contract with the Brumbies, and there are many details that would need to be worked through should he be successful with his application."

It is understood that White has informed Brumbies that he will complete the 2012 Super Rugby season with the club.
