Scotland's Ryan Grant surprised by British and Irish Lions call-up

Scotland prop Ryan Grant has expressed his shock in being called up to the British and Irish Lions tour in Australia.

The 27-year-old has joined the squad as cover due to the long-term calf problem of Gethin Jenkins, who will miss the Lions' Test against the Queensland Reds.

"This time last year I got my first cap," Grant told the Scottish Rugby Union website. "Now I'm heading out to Australia to represent Scotland for the Lions. What can you say? It's been so fast I've not really had time to process it."

Meanwhile, Cian Healy will return home from the tour due to an ankle injury.
