Bath head coach Mike Ford: 'It's not all doom and gloom'

Bath head coach Mike Ford refuses to dwell on the negatives after seeing his side lose 29-22 to Wasps.

Bath head coach Mike Ford has refused to be downbeat following his side's loss to Wasps in the Aviva Premiership.

The West Country club suffered only their second defeat of the season on Sunday as they went down 29-22 at Adams Park.

Despite the negative result, Ford is confident that his team will stay competitive for the remainder of the campaign.

"It is disappointing, but it's not all doom. We're fourth after six games, after playing some decent opposition," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"If we can put it all together, we're going to be there or thereabouts. It was 29-0 at one stage, so we are pleased with the character and the response of the team."

Bath begin their European Champions Cup campaign this Saturday when they travel to Scotland to face Glasgow Warriors.
