Bath Rugby face a 48-hour wait to determine the extent of a knee injury which forced Matt Banahan off in the victory over London Wasps.

Bath Rugby face a 48-hour wait to find out the extent of a knee injury which forced Matt Banahan to limp off during yesterday's 30-23 victory over London Wasps.

"Matt has damaged his knee and we will know more about it in the next 48 hours, he will go to have a scan and we will wait and see what the results are, but he has been put in a brace," said skills coach Brad Davis.

"All injuries are a worry. The people who are near the top of the table at the end of the season are the sides whose players stay fit and healthy, giving them more firepower at their disposal."

Banahan scored the opening try before being forced off in the closing stages.
