Result: Bath 16-13 Montpellier

Bath picked up their first win of this year's Heineken Cup with a narrow victory over Montpellier at the Recreation Ground.

First-half tries from Ollie Woodburn and David Flatman were enough to prevent a French fightback.

The home side raced into a 13-point lead after new signing Stephen Donald's early penalty preceded the efforts from academy player Woodburn and prop Flatman.

Martin Bustos Moyano scored all of Montpellier's points with a 47th minute try and conversion alongside a penalty in either half.

Bath move up to second in Pool 3 while Montpellier, who drew with table-toppers Leinster last week, are bottom - one point adrift of Glasgow Warriors in third.
