New Zealand retain Bledisloe Cup

New Zealand have retained the Bledisloe Cup after beating Australia 27-16 in Wellington in round two of the Rugby Championship.

The All Blacks, who beat the Wallabies 47-29 in last week's series opener, have now defended the silverware in 10 successive seasons since regaining it in 2003.

Kiwi winger Ben Smith touched down twice, meaning that he has now scored seven tries in his last four Test appearances.

Tom Taylor marked his Test debut by scoring 14 points with the boot, while full-back Israel Dagg also kicked a penalty for New Zealand.

Christian Leali'ifano kicked nine penalty points for Australia, as well as converting Israel Folau's late interception try.
