David Pocock signs a three-year deal with the Brumbies.

Australia captain David Pocock has signed with the Brumbies for the 2012-13 season.

Pocock said that the move will allow him to be closer to his family in Brisbane and also allow his partner to study at the University of Canberra.

"I'm incredibly thankful to the Western Force and the people of Perth for the support they have given me over the last seven years," said Pocock.

"After discussing things with Em we've decided that a move to Canberra and a fresh start with the Brumbies is the best move for us.

"The Brumbies have a good coaching and management team of Jake White, Laurie Fisher, Stephen Larkham, Dean Benton and Tony Thorpe, so the opportunity to learn from them and challenge myself was appealing."

Pocock has signed a three-year deal with the franchise.
