Kevin Sinfield: 'Leeds Rhinos didn't have control'

Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield says that the team did not have control during their playoff semi-final defeat to Wigan Warriors.

Kevin Sinfield has said that a lack of control cost Leeds Rhinos during their playoff semi-final against Wigan Warriors this evening.

Shaun Wane's side beat the defending Super League champions 22-12 to secure a place in next weekend's Grand Final.

The Leeds captain told Sky Sports News: "It's tough. I didn't think we were ever in control of the game. The best team won tonight. That's it really.

"We didn't really have control. When you come here against a side like that who have had a week off and you cough up too much ball, well we asked for it really.

"The effort was brilliant. You can't fault that. Every week the lads give it everything they've got and some of them are absolutely out on their feet. It was probably a game too much unfortunately."

Wigan will face Warrington Wolves at Old Trafford next Saturday.
