Leeds Rhinos captain Jamie Peacock defends his teammates after they were criticised for dyeing their hair pink.

Leeds Rhinos captain Jamie Peacock has defended the club's players after they were criticised for dyeing their hair pink.

Almost the entire Rhinos squad made the decision to alter their hair colour for yesterday's match against St Helens in aid of Sport Relief.

Rhinos went on to lose the match 46-6 and a number of pundits claimed that the team had been distracted by the hair dye.

However, Peacock has rubbished those suggestions by admitting that he would do the same thing again.

"To anyone who thinks we lost because we had red or pink hair; you are clueless," Peacock tweeted. "If I had the choice, I would do it again. 100%."

The club has so far raised £3,122 for Sport Relief 2012.
