Paul McShane leaves Leeds Rhinos

Leeds Rhinos agree to release hooker Paul McShane from the remainder of his contract.

Hooker Paul McShane has been released from the remainder of his contract with the Leeds Rhinos by mutual consent.

The 23-year-old joined the Rhinos in 2006 and signed a new four-year deal at Headingley in September 2011.

After a frustrating start to life at Leeds, he finally became a regular fixture in the Super League last season.

However, he failed to feature in the final five games of the campaign and he has now decided to seek a move elsewhere.

McShane was part of the Leeds team that won the World Club Challenge in 2012.
