Peter Gentle disappointed with Hull FC effort

Hull coach Peter Gentle believes that his side's performance wasn't good enough as they were beaten 44-14 at Catalan Dragons.

Hull FC coach Peter Gentle was disappointed with his team's effort as they were beaten 44-14 at Catalan Dragons on Saturday.

Scott Dureau, Daryl Millard and Clint Greenshields scored two tries each as Hull were condemned to their fourth defeat in five matches.

"They were just too big, quick and tough for us today," said Gentle.

"We should have put a better effort in than what we did, it took us 65 minutes before we got involved in the game defensively.

"We're taking a long time to learn a lesson, we've got to be smarter than we were today."

Hull next take on local rivals Hull Kingston Rovers a week on Monday.
