Trainer Richard Fahey has said that Darley July Cup winner Mayson will now be entered into the top European sprints later this year.
The four-year-old impressively led the field on soggy ground at Newmarket to take a surprise 20-1 victory ahead of The Cheka and favourite Society Rock.
"It was a massive performance. All you can do is beat them and in this case he's beaten them well," Fahey told At The Races.
"He's in at York, he's in the Haydock race and he'll be put in the French race.
"They are targets, but we'll definitely go to Longchamp at the end of the season. That's a target we want to go to."
The victory was Hanagan's first at Group One level and Mayson will now look to continue the good form in the rest of the season.
