Sara Bradstock: 'Gold Cup winner Coneygree won't run again until next season'

Coneygree won't run until next season

Assistant trainer Sara Bradstock has revealed that Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Coneygree will not run again this season.

The eight-year-old became the first novice since 1974 to win the showpiece event, beating Djackadam and Road to Riches, who finished second and third respectively.

Bradstock told BBC Radio Five Live that Coneygree will not feature again until next season and is hopeful that they'll get "more horses" following their recent success.

Coneygree won the Gold Cup by a length and a half last Friday.
